Last week we created a polar description. This week, we are going to create a polar poem. This poem has to include lots of figurative language (similes, metaphors, alliteration, hyperbole and personification). Today we are going to plan our poems, can you jot down lots of figurative language related to Antarctica? Can you research in a thesaurus lots of exciting adjectives for you to include? Can you think of a title for your poem which will make the reader want to read your poem?
Over the next few lessons, you will write out your poems. When you have completed your first draft, send it over to me so I can give you feedback that you can build upon in to your finalised version of your poem.
