As computing underpins today’s modern lifestyle, it is essential that all pupils gain the confidence and ability that they need in this subject, to prepare them for the challenge of a rapidly developing and changing technological world. Our provision of computing enables discrete computing teaching following the computing curriculum. Either by using desktops, laptops or iPads, the children learn how to safely navigate the internet; code; communicate and collaborate ; desktop publish and create presentations. Cross curricular teaching of computing builds on skills learned in discrete lessons using real contexts, audiences and meaningful outcomes. Children and staff use computing whenever they feel it is appropriate.
