Ten Year Six children travelled to the Church of St. James the Greater in Leicester to attend a public speaking workshop. The children spoke about a range of artefacts that can be found in Kedleston Hall and then invited questions from the audience. #ColonialCountryside
What is the Colonial Countryside Project?
Colonial Countryside is a child-led writing and history project about National Trust houses’ Caribbean and East India Company connections. Steered by a child advisory board, this five year project assembles authors, historians and primary pupils to commission, resource and publish new writing.
