Year 5/6 trip to Belper Mills
What a wonderful day! The children in Year 5 and 6 visited Belper Mills, the River Gardens and local historical streets. The children walked around the North Mill museum and got to handle artefacts from the past. They also got to see the foundations and also how the East Mill is built on a water course. There was also an opportunity to dress up and wear hats reflecting the status of the wearer. Whilst walking up Long Row the children saw the railway cutting and visited a workers cottage.
