The website provides clear, up-to-date information about the various services and provisions available within Derbyshire to support children and young people with SEND. It covers a wide range of topics, including how to apply for an assessment, early years support, education and learning, care services, preparing for adulthood, health and wellbeing, financial support and travel and transport. The Local Offer aims to help families navigate the support system, ensuring that children and young people with SEND can access the resources they need to thrive in their communities and achieve greater independence. Other key features of the Derbyshire Local Offer include the directory of local SEND services, support groups, activities, and leisure opportunities. This directory allows families to easily find and connect with the services that best meet their needs.

By offering a centralised hub of information, the Derbyshire Local Offer empowers families to make informed decisions and access the right support at the right time, enhancing the quality of life for children and young people with SEND in Derbyshire.

Our focus is on understanding and caring for our pupils, particularly those with additional needs and our welcoming and inclusive atmosphere helps pupils to thrive both emotionally and academically.
