Collective Worship takes place each day and is an important part of the daily routine. Themes are planned for each week to cover a range of topics and delivered by the senior leadership team, teachers and children. Themes are based on important values- love, hope, justice, thankfulness, compassion, etc…. They reflect the Christian themes and the teachings of Jesus as well as incorporating stories and messages for other world religions. Children are encouraged to develop a positive attitude to other people, respecting their right to hold different beliefs for their own and towards living in a society of diverse faiths and religions. The children plan and lead acts of Collective Worship.

Pictures give an added visual stimulus which reflect the ideas incorporated within the value being explored. These can be sourced through Google or any appropriate photos. The prayer and appropriate Bible verse included in the table reinforce learning about our Christian Value. These Christian Value story links may be used as part of an RE lesson or in collective worship, particularly if led by the children themselves. They can also be used at home with their families to allow the children to deepen their understanding of the school Christian values. The ideas given in the templates are starting points to engage children, to deepen their understanding of our Christian values and to allow them to respond to the given stimulus. 

On Collective worship on Monday are run by St Nicks Children's worker and Rev Sarah Watson. These link to the themes below. We share our stories and events via class dojo so parents are informed of what is happening. 

We have regular Open the book sessions run by the Local Church Community, which is held at the Church.

Roots and Fruits is a resource to support primary schools in promoting the teaching of Christian Values. We use this resource to support our teachings in Collective Worship.
