(Year 6)
Welcome to the Year 6 class page. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your children as we work together in the children’s final year at The Curzon Church of England Primary School. This year, your children will take on many responsibilities, from running mini-leader clubs for younger children to acting as house captains and leading our weekly celebration worships and services for special occasions, such as Harvest. They will lead the way as examples for the rest of the school, modelling our school values and letting their light shine in every aspect of the school life.
The children will be working hard, throughout the year – honing and adding to their knowledge as they prepare for SATs at the start of the Summer Term. In addition, they will also enjoy a number of privileges this year, such as our end of year residential trip to Whitehall and transition festivals, to help them prepare for their step-up in secondary school.
We have an exciting range of learning this year, please follow the links on this page to find out more information about the curriculum and specific topics your child will be learning about in each subject this year. This will also be a helpful tool to aid you in supporting your child with consolidating their learning at home.
From time to time, useful information and photographs of the exciting events and activities that the children have experienced throughout the year, will be added to the ‘Photo Gallery’ section of the website - so please check it regularly.
